Merchandise Releases:
Toys & Plush

Released in USA by Playmates Toys

Marge and Lisa were to comprise the second series of 15" Interactive Talking Plush Figures by Playmates. Lackluster sales of the first series, which included Homer and Bart, apparently led Playmates to cancel plans for these, even though all four would have been capable of interacting with each other. Each figure in this series uses special infrared technology to identify which other Simpsons figures are in close proximity and then begin a conversation with only those figures. All four of the figures were designed to interact via several possible conversations, in duos, trios, or the entire family of four all at once. Each figure in the series also says 10 random phrases when used alone. They each require and include three "AAA" batteries. The entire series was displayed at Toy Fair in Spring, 2000.
