Based loosely on the Simpsons Geek Code, but not really...
Symbols used and what they mean
WoS - lets you know that you're looking at a World of Springfield geek code
C: - collector style
F: - number of figures in collection
E: - number of environments in collection
cF: - number of custom figures in collection
cE: - number of custom environments in collection
_ - designates that the environment following the symbol is displayed with the wide side back.
| - designates that the environment following the symbol is displayed with the thin side back.
\ - designates that the environment following the symbol is displayed with the wide side facing right, at a 45 degree angle.
/ - designates that the environment following the symbol is displayed with the wide side facing left, at a 45 degree angle.
= - designates that the figure list following the symbol is on the peg on the environment
@ - designates that the figure list following the symbol is off the peg, but on the environment
, - separates lists of figures
> - the figure preceding the symbol is holding, wearing, using or riding one or more accessories. The number of accessories follows the symbol.
 - the figures contained within the braces are in between playsets.
The World of Springfield Geek Code has the following format:
WoS1.1 C:O F:8 E:2 cF:1 cE:1 _LR=HS>2,mS,MS [LS,BS] \PP@RH,MB,KK \cE(sidewalk)=cF(Winter Maggie)
WoS -- Shows you that it's the WoS geek code, not some other geek code.
1.1 -- this is the version of the code. 1.1 is the current version.
C:O -- Collector type. Possible values are O for Opener, P for In Package and B for Both
F:8 (optional) -- Figures in your collection / display (PlayMates WoS, not customs or Mattel)
E:2 (optional) -- Environments (also called playsets) in your collection / display.
cF:1 (optional) -- Custom figures in your collection / display.
CE:1 (optional) -- Custom environments in your collection display. This would include elaborate setups which don't have bases, as well.
_ -- Playset is displayed with the wide side back. Possible other values are: | -- thin side back; \ --45 degree angle, wide side to the right; / -- 45 degree angle, wide side to the left
LR -- Playset designation (Living Room). The designation for each playset is listed in the dropdown box, along with the full name.
= -- Figures following this are on the pegs of the playset. Possible other value is @ which indicates that the figures are ON the playset, but not the peg.
HS -- Figure designation (Homer Simpson). The designation for each figure is listed in the dropdown box, along with the full name.
> -- Figure is holding / wearing / using any number of accessories. The number of accessories follows the > symbol.
, -- Separates the list of figures on a set or in between sets.
mS,MS -- more figures, Maggie and Marge Simpson
[LS,BS] -- [<figure list>] figures are in between playsets in the display. The playset immediately preceding is on the left of the figures, the playset immediately following is on the right of the figures.
\PP@RH,MB,KK -- another set, the Power Plant, at a right-facing 45 degree angle. Radioactive Homer, Mr. Burns and Krusty are on the set, but not on the pegs.
\cE(sidewalk) -- A custom environment, described as "sidewalk" is displayed at a right-facing 45 degree angle.
=cF(Winter Maggie) -- A custom figure, describes as "Winter Maggie" is on the peg of the "sidewalk" custom environment.
