Saturday is always the craziest day at the Con and this year was no exception. From the mosh pit-like walking conditions in the Con to the lines for everything to endless panels, Saturday is the reason to attend Comic Con. One panel was the Simpsons panel, which is always a highlight for us. Later that night, we all went out to dinner at In N Out and then went bowling (please don't ask us our scores). Afterwards, some members went to Mr B's room at the Sheraton Suites, home of last year's infamous chair accident.
Saturday afternoon was the annual "Simpsons" panel, featuring creator Matt Groening, show runner Al Jean, and many of the show's talented writers. They discussed the show's future (a character will be coming out next season and there will be another future-based episode), reminded fans the movie is still many years away, and deflected many nerdy questions (from what state the Simpsons is on to the current status of Dinner Dog and Rich Uncle Skeleton).
Also on Saturday afternoon, the SCS crew had a Simpsons Collectors meeting in an upstairs meeting room. We geeked out together and Chris Lauria (aka "SimpsonsToyMaker") showed us his portfolio and much drooling occurred. Thanks to all who attended. We hope to see even more people next year!
SCS members went to dinner at In 'N' Out Burger, a California staple.
We went bowling. Turns out we aren't very good at it.
Later, a few SCS members joined Brian (aka "Mr Bergstrom") for some late-night partying at the Sheraton Suites.
