Magazine:

Time for another installment of 20 Questions, this time with member AlienOrphan.

1. How long have you been watching "The Simpsons"?

Since the Tracy Ullman shorts. For some reason, I really enjoyed psychiatrist sketches as a child.

2. Who is your favorite Simpsons character?

Professor Frink because I find mockery of Jerry Lewis hilarious.

3. What Simpsons character are you most like and why?

Snake, because I have no real conscience.

4. Are your friends and family fans of the Simpsons?

My friends are fans. I don't deal with people who don't enjoy the show. I really have no idea if my family likes it.

5. What is your favorite quote from a Simpsons episode?

"Ahh, it's too hot today."

6. What types of Simpsons collectibles do you collect?

Whatever I feel like buying.

7. What item in your collection is your favorite?

This "Do The Bartman" promo single I found at a music store that's going out of business. It has a "remix" that's 8 minutes long. There's really no reason for that. I wish they'd put out an album now. There'd be a remix by Trent Reznor, The Neptunes, & P. Diddy. Especially P. Diddy.

8. What is the most outrageous (or difficult) thing you have done to obtain a Simpsons collectible?

I've never had to do anything outrageous or difficult.

9. What's the most you ever spent on a Simpsons collectible?

I spent eighty dollars on the first THOH.

10. What World of Springfield figure would you most like to see (that has not been announced)?

Frank Grimes.

11. Are you a completist? An opener or a MIMP collector? Why?

I'm an opener. I'm sort of a completist. I consider it complete because I buy what I want to have.

12. What are your favorite television shows (excluding the Simpsons)?

The Invisible Man. Too bad the Sci-Fi channel's canceling it.

13. What celebrity do you want to see guest star on the Simpsons?

Me.

14. How and when did you find the SCS site?

I was here when it started because I used to lurk on Bill's board.

15. In what ways do you think the hobby of collecting Simpsons has changed in the past few years?

Stuff worth buying has come out. A couple years ago, you'd be all like, "Boy, I really like The Simpsons, too bad I can't translate my adoration into monetary consumption." The future is now, my friends.

16. What was the first Simpsons item you ever bought?

It had to have been the Burger King toys...you know, the camping ones, right after the first season...or maybe during the first season.

17. What is the one Simpsons item you want the most but do not have?

Wave seven. And once I have that, wave eight and so on and so forth.

18. What else do you collect?

I have a lot of Batman paraphernalia...and Mystery Science Theater stuff.

19. Who influenced you the most from the show (be it character, writer, actor, etc.)?

I'd say Matt Selman, because through a series of events, I'd come in contact with him and he's agreed to look at a writing sample of mine. Who knows, maybe something will come of it.

20. Anything you would like to add?

No matter how much you think you love someone or trust someone, know this: Between you and everyone else on this planet there is a dark, infinite chasm that can never be crossed. Good night!
