Time for another installment of 20 Questions, this time with member JeffBagwellRules.

1. How long have you been watching "The Simpsons"?

I have been watching the Simpsons off and on since 1994. I skipped the 1998 year (I can't remember why) but thanks to the airing of 3 reruns a day on my local Fox channel, I was able to catch up. I now haven't missed an episode since.

2. Who is your favorite Simpsons character?

I hate to sound like everyone else, but my favorite character is Homer Simpson. The things he does are just so funny. It is such a riot to watch the stupid thing he is going to do next.

3. What Simpsons character are you most like and why?

I am ashamed to say it, but I am probably a lot like Milhouse. The way that he acts is just similar to mine. I've got friends like Bart, and divorced parents. I was in movies once (as an extra) and I didn't really care for it. The more I think about it, Milhouse is really cool.

4. Are your friends and family fans of the Simpsons?

I have always thought that my Dad would like the Simpsons, but he never really has gotten into the show. My Mom and sister say that they hate cartoons, but in my mind the Simpsons are no longer a cartoon. Most of my friends watch the show, but none as much as I do. But sometimes at school, we will talk about something Homer did and everyone just starts cracking up.

5. What is your favorite quote from a Simpsons episode?

My favorite quote has to be from Ralph. "Hi Supernintendo Chalmers." That quote just had me rolling for the entire episode. I don't even know what had me laughing so much, but it remains one of my favorites.

6. What types of Simpsons collectibles do you collect?

I collect mainly the WOS toys. I have been collecting form the start of the series, so my collection of toys has gotten very large. I have also bought Simpsons video games, cereals, posters, T-shirts, and board games. (Monopoly and Clue)

7. What item in your collection is your favorite?

My Toys. Even before WOS, I had collected Star Wars toys, Starting Lineups and G. I. Joes. So when Simpson Toys came out, I knew that they would be my favorite. What I like best about my toys is the fact that you can just rearrange them when you don't like how they look in the playsets. You can't do that with a poster.

8. What is the most outrageous (or difficult) thing you have done to obtain a Simpsons collectible?

I would have to say ordering from Wizard World. In July when I saw Boxing Homer was going to be a Wizard World exclusive I thought, "oh cool I want a Boxing Homer." Well, 6 months later I still don't have my Boxing Homer, and absolutely regret buying it from Toyfare. Ordering from Toyfare was by far the most difficult thing I have done to obtain a collectable.

9. What's the most you ever spent on a Simpsons collectible?

I really haven't spent too much over retail for any Simpson collectible YET because I started collecting these toys from the start. I think buying THOH 2 and Simpsons Christmas playset for $39.99 has been the most I have spent. But In my heart I am a completist, and have to get a Kwik E Mart. I am sure the day I buy a Kwik E Mart will be the day I spend a lot on a Simpsons collectible.

10. What World of Springfield figure would you most like to see (that has not been announced)?

Being such a huge baseball fan, I really want a WOS baseball player figure. There have been a lot of pro baseball players that have made appearances on the show, and seeing them in a figure would be really cool. I would really like to see a Mark McGwire with his 70-homerun baseball bat. Any of the other baseball players (Ozzie Smith, Mike Sciosca) would be really cool as well.

11. Are you a completist? An opener or a MIMP collector? Why?

I would really like to be a completist, but Toyfare has soured me on that one. I also missed the Kwik E Mart. I can remember seeing tons of Kwik E Marts in Kmart and just leaving them there thinking "Oh I will get one later."(That never happen) I still am trying to find the Kwik E Mart for a reasonable price, and I would like to get the 3 Toyfare exclusives I missed. I have every other figure though, so I am close. I started out collecting my WOS as a MIMP, but when I found this message board I remember being persuaded into opening my collection. All the discussions about accessories and other little details persuaded me to spend 2 days opening every toy in my collection. The pile of empty boxes now reaches to the wall, but I really like my toys better out of the package. Thanks for all the advice Simpsons collectors.

12. What are your favorite television shows (excluding the Simpsons)?

I watch almost all sports, and one of my favorite shows is SportsCenter. I also really have enjoyed Fox's new series 24. That show has me on the edge of my seat. Boston Public is also a big favorite of mine.

13. What celebrity do you want to see guest star on the Simpsons?

I don't know if you consider baseball players to be celebrities, but I would cherish the Simpsons episode that has Jeff Bagwell in it. I would just watch it over and over again. It will probably never happen though.

14. How and when did you find the SCS site?

I actually used to just visit No Homers exclusively, but on their action figure page, they once put up a link to SCS. Once I clicked on the link and found this great site, I was hooked.

15. In what ways do you think the hobby of collecting Simpsons has changed in the past few years?

The hobby of collecting Simpsons has changed considerably. When these toys first came out, they were not that difficult to find. Look at THOH 1. My TRU had a huge amount of those. They were easy to find, and ended up being clearanced out after Halloween. But this year THOH 2 became a big collectors item and was nearly impossible to find. Toyfare has really changed the hobby too.

16. What was the first Simpsons item you ever bought?

I cannot even remember what the first WOS toy I bought let alone the first Simpsons item. When I was younger ( ages 5 or 6) I did have this strange Bart T-Shirt, so that had to be one of the first Simpson items that I had bought.

17. What is the one Simpsons item you want the most but do not have?

The Kwik E Mart playset. It is one of the most important playsets, and you can tell that my figures really want to visit the Kwik E Mart. One of these days, I will just buy this thing for $50 and quit complaining about not having it.

18. What else do you collect?

I collect a ton of baseball cards. I am proud to say that my Jeff Bagwell card collection is huge. I also collect Bagwell Starting Lineups, and other Houston Astro merchandise. I used to collect Hot Wheels and Star Wars, but money made me stop collecting those things.

19. Who influenced you the most from the show (be it character, writer, actor, etc.)?

This is really a tough question. I would have to say that Mr. Burns is a pretty big influence. He proves that you don't have to be nice to get what you want. He also proves that a man can live to be over 100 while running his company at the same time.

20. Anything you would like to add?

The SCS message board has become a huge part of my life. I spend most of my days just lurking and writing messages on that wonderful board. I would like to thank all 1500 plus members and the great staff that keeps this place going. Thank you very much.
