Magazine:

Time for another installment of 20 Questions, this time with member Barnacleez.

1. How long have you been watching "The Simpsons"?

Ever since the Christmas Special. I was in grade school at the time, and it was new (and a cartoon).

2. Who is your favorite Simpsons character?

Captain McCallister. Yarghhh.

3. What Simpsons character are you most like and why?

I suppose I'm most like Professor Frink. Glasses. Lots of mathematics training. Only I'm cool. I collect toys. That's cool, right? Right?

4. Are your friends and family fans of the Simpsons?

Not really. They think I'm a freak (but more for my love of all things Star Wars).

5. What is your favorite quote from a Simpsons episode?

"Everything's coming up Milhouse!" Cause it does.

6. What types of Simpsons collectibles do you collect?

Only the figures and the episodes. For a while I was taping every episode, and I only started last summer. I got tired of it, but have about 95% of the episodes. Not too shabby.

7. What item in your collection is your favorite?

Simpsons: Glow In the Dark Homer. Got him from the magazine way back when. Non-Simpsons: My Star Wars E1 Pepsi Cardboard stand-ups. Only good thing I ever got from working at a grocery store.

8. What is the most outrageous (or difficult) thing you have done to obtain a Simpsons collectible?

Nothing outrageous. I suppose the most outrageous thing is convincing my mom to accept all the packages I have sent to her house. Its just easier than having it delivered to my apartment.

9. What's the most you ever spent on a Simpsons collectible?

$40 for the X-Mas set. I've gotten everything at retail.

10. What World of Springfield figure would you most like to see (that has not been announced)?

Gil. He's always hilarious when he's on the show.

11. Are you a completist? An opener or a MIMP collector? Why?

I'm definitely a completist because that's my personality. I have a complete Star Wars collection, so I got carried away with my Simpsons collection too.

12. What are your favorite television shows (excluding the Simpsons)?

Family Guy, Futurama, South Park... Basically anything juvenile and funny.

13. What celebrity do you want to see guest star on the Simpsons?

Weird Al Yankovic. UHF is the funniest movie of all time.

14. How and when did you find the SCS site?

It was back before it was the SCS (don't remember the original though). I just kind of stumbled in.

15. In what ways do you think the hobby of collecting Simpsons has changed in the past few years?

I think it's gotten more popular and accepted. The first time I saw wave 1 in a store, I knew I had to have it.

16. What was the first Simpsons item you ever bought?

A "Don't have a cow man" T-shirt. I wore that thing out right quick.

17. What is the one Simpsons item you want the most but do not have?

The rest of the DVD sets and every future figure. I have all the released stuff I want.

18. What else do you collect?

I have a HUGE Star Wars collection. Every figure released.

19. Who influenced you the most from the show (be it character, writer, actor, etc.)?

Homer probably. I quote him ad-nauseum to my coworkers (that explains why they run the other way when I come).

20. Anything you would like to add?

2 + 2 = 4
